3:00 to 7:00 p.m., June 29th, 2004
at the Rico Elementary School

Blood testing for the presence of lead will be offered on Tuesday, June 29th, 2004, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Rico Elementary School. Blood testing is offered at no charge for all residents in the Rico area.

This blood testing event is part of the on-going effort to collect data and understand the health risks associated with the presence of high lead content soils in the Rico area. All persons are encouraged to take advantage of this blood testing event. Testing of children is especially encouraged because development age children are more susceptible to the adverse affects of elevated lead in blood. If you are interested in blood testing for you or your family but are not able to attend this blood testing event, please contact Eric Heil, Town Attorney, at (970) 967-5550 or, or Marilyn Griebel, at (970) 967-7201, for information on other options for blood testing.

This blood testing event is sponsored by the Town of Rico, Department of Local Affairs, Atlantic Richfield Corporation and Rico Renaissance.
